This time last year, your generous support sent me to American Ballet Theatre's Summer Intensive. I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and all of you for manifesting this experience with me. I value immensely the people I met, the insight I gained, and the impact last summer had on me, a young ballerina verging on a professional career.
THIS SUMMER
I'll be in sweet home Chicago from June 22-July 24 attending the Summer Intensive at The Joffrey Ballet's Grainger Academy AND I COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED.
POINTE SHOES
As my training continues, the intensity and the hours I spend doing ballet each increase, and the life of my pointe shoes has shortened to 30 days (or less).
BOTTOM LINE
All together, I'm hoping to raise $5k to get me through another year of this rewarding obsession.
Eloise is a teenage girl who loves dancing. She's been dancing for more than 10 years, since she was two. She's currently training with the Hartt School Community Division.

I began in the suburbs of Chicago IL, and trained in the city with the Grainger Academy at the Joffrey Ballet from age 4-7. When I was 7, I auditioned for the School of American Ballet (SAB) in NYC, and got in! My dad had found a job in Boston, and we moved to Connecticut.
I danced at SAB until I was 10, and I left because we didn't think it would be a good idea to restart going to the city during COVID, before I had been vaccinated. I started dancing on zoom with Boston Ballet School instead, and stayed for a year and a half. After returning to class in person, I decided to switch to the Hartt School Community Division.
I've been at Hartt for almost 4 years now, and I'm really enjoying it. All of my teachers and friends are super supportive, and we have so much fun dancing together. The first Nutcracker I did with them, I had the incredible experience of performing Clara, the main character. The following year, I danced as the Harlequinn Doll, Snow Corps, Mirliton Corps, and Spanish Corps. Last year, I had a great time performing in the Arabian dance, Snow Corps, and Flower corps.
During summers, I have the chance to work with other ballet schools. I've participated in the Jr. Intensive at SAB, The Bolshoi Ballet Academy's Summer Intensive, American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive, and many Summer Intensives at my home studio.
